I am delighted to announce that the new issue of Performance Research (Volume 29 Issue 2) on Social Imaginaries is just published! Co-edited by Danae Theodoridou and myself, this publication has been an amazing exchange with inspiring authors from all over the world; an attempt to think on what art can do to build communities that can imagine and practice social co-existence differently.
A heartfelt thanks goes to each one of them separately for their work and cooperation: Bojana Cvejic, Marta Keil and Alexander Roberts, Ana Vujanović, Paulina Aroch-Fugellie and Michaelle Villaseñor, Ilinca Todoruț, Bojana Matejić, Babatunde Allen Bakare, Madison Jolliffe and Miguel Angel Melgares, Özge Derman, Ana Pais, Paul Clarke, Deena Shazly Elshazly, Philippine Hoegen and Veerle Spronck, Elien Hanselaer, Samuel Curkpatrick, Laura Case and Anthea Skinner, Trung M. Nguyen, and Rob Eagle.

Some of the articles can be downloaded for free in Open Access format. Danae’s and my editorial for the issue is Open Access as well and can be accessed here.
Currently, our professorship and the Dutch artistic research network Kunst ≈ Onderzoek are planning an on-site launch of the issue, on 15 May 2025 at Fontys Academy of the Arts in Tilburg. More information will follow soon!
